Express Deposit – Unity One’s Newest Convenience Service

With Unity One’s new Express Deposit service, you can make deposits online anytime, anywhere with Express Online Home Banking. Plus, you'll receive immediate access to your funds deposited online up to $1,500

How it works:

1.    Log on to Express Online Home Banking
2.    Click "Express Deposit"
3.    Enter deposit information
4.    Mail checks to the Credit Union within ten (10) calendar days (address labels are available to order online or at the Credit Union)

What is Express Deposit?

Express Deposit allows Unity One members to securely enter check information through Express Online Home Banking and receive immediate credit for their deposit. No need to visit a branch or an ATM! After entering their check information, members mail the checks and a printed deposit confirmation to the Credit Union. Free Express Deposit mailing labels are highly suggested. The actual checks must be received at the credit union within 10 calendar days after entering the information online.

How do I enroll for Express Deposit?

After logging on to Express Online Home Banking, simply click on the "Express Deposit" tab. Read and agree to the Express Deposit Terms & Conditions. Enter your Primary email address and "Confirm". An Activation link will be sent to the email address provided, along with your activation code. Click on the link in the email, enter the activation code and click on "Activate My Address" Now you are enrolled. Be sure to add estatements@unityonefcu.org  to your Safe Senders list or the activation email may be rejected by your email provider or software.

What if I cannot access Express Deposit?

You must be a member for a minimum of 180 days and be a member in good standing.
You cannot use Express Deposit if:
You are a business account holder
You have caused the credit union a loss
You have an overdraft amount outstanding for 15 days or more
You are more than 14 days delinquent on a loan
Your Privilege Pay benefit has been suspended
You have abused the courtesy of Express Deposit

How much can I deposit?

The maximum single deposit amount is $10,000. This amount can consist of 1 to 10 checks. There is no limit to the number of deposits you can make, however, your funds availability will not exceed $1,500 at any given time, regardless of the number of deposits or deposit amounts.

Which of my accounts will accept Express Deposit?

All savings, money market and checking accounts that are not IRA’s will be available for deposits.
IRA accounts, certificates and loan payments are not eligible for Express Deposit.

Can I deposit to more than one account type?

Yes, once you are logged in, you may choose your account types and distribution amounts from your total deposit amount.

What is MICR?

MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) is the term used to describe the numbers at the bottom of all checks. These numbers consist of 1.) Routing Number - identifies the financial institution, 2.) Account Number - identifies the Payer of the check, and 3.) the Check Number. The Show/Hide Check Legend tool is there assist you by displaying an image of a typical personal check and a typical business check, pointing out where this information resides, and prompting for each of these numbers individually.

The system does not accept my Routing Number. What is wrong?

Some checks have the Routing Number in a different location than displayed on the MICR Wizard page. Ensure that the Routing Number that you enter is 9 digits in length. The entry of this information helps us prevent fraud and identify online checks when they arrive at the Credit Union.

How many checks can I deposit at the same time?

Members may deposit up to 10 checks within a batch.

Do I have to send the check to the specified address?

Yes, you MUST use the specified address. Using another address will result in the check arriving in the wrong location and delaying or preventing processing. Delays may result in your account becoming overdrawn, fees and put your future use of Express Deposit at risk. Please use:

Can I bring my deposit in to a Unity One branch, an ATM or a Shared Service Center?

No. Mail delivery is the most reliable way to get your deposit processed correctly. We discourage bringing the deposit in as it defeats the convenience of Express Deposit and it may cause delays in processing your deposit accurately. If you are unable or unwilling to mail your deposit, you MUST bring your Express Deposit to a Unity One branch, you MUST bring your online deposit confirmation and notify our teller. Express Deposits should NEVER be brought to an ATM or a shared branch location.

What if my check doesn’t get there on time?

If you think there is a chance that might happen, the first thing to do is to contact us by phone, e-mail, or in person immediately. We may be able to accommodate a special circumstance.

If your check does not arrive due to negligence or failure to follow the delivery instructions, the amount of the deposit will be reversed from your account and you may be subject to privilege pay or NSF charges. Your Express Deposit privileges may be revoked, and it could even result in termination of your membership.

What if I don't receive an activation e-mail?

Express deposit will still function without an activated email address.  We use your email address to confirm your initial deposit online, to confirm receipt at the credit union, and if necessary, remind you about outstanding deposits.  Your email provider may consider the activation message as spam, so check your spam folder.  Be sure to add estatements@unityonefcu.org to your Safe Senders list.
