Teen Financial Literacy

Providing teens with practical money management skills, and an introduction to financial planning. Utilizing the updated National Endowment for Financial Education, NEFE curriculum, this innovative program teaches the basics of personal finance to young people while they are developing habits and attitudes about money that will influence them for the rest of their lives. The curriculum covers topics such as: budgeting, establishing good credit, the difference between credit and debit cards, investing and much more.

Unity One Credit Union has partnered with Washington Heights Elementary School and Nance Elementary School, both of Fort Worth, Texas, to operate student run branches. These branches provide both schools' students real life experiences as they serve fellow students and staff.

Unity One Credit Union provides financial education and assistance in the promotion of financial literacy in Spanish and English. The credit union also assists in branch beautification and assistance with needed equipment and supplies.
